Reflective Shadow

Reflective Shadow – 10 contemporary artists from Finland 


Finnish Contemporary art has great success around the world in these years. As a natural extension of the exhibition of the classical, Finnish-Swedish painter Helene Schjerfbeck, Ordrupgaard display artworks of highest quality by ten Finnish-Swedish contemporary artists. The artworks in exhibition are realized with a wide span of medias and materials, from oil paintings, watercolours, glass and plaster sculptures to photographs, video and sound-installations.

10 young artists
The curator is the successful curator Leevi Haapala, and the exhibition has been produced through collaboration between Finland´s Institute of Culture in Copenhagen, Ordrupgaard and the artists themselves. Moreover, the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma in Helsinki has lent works from its collections. The ten artists are: Mahlin Alsved, Axel Antas, H. C. Berg, Maria Duncker, Saara Ekström, Lotta Ingman, Marjo Levlin, Nina Roos, Hans Rosenström og Kim Simonsson.
